Hi, I'm Martin, a freelance photographer based in the North East of England, UK.

My photographic journey began as a child with a borrowed 110 film camera. At 14 years of age I purchased a 35mm Minolta SLR with two kit lenses.  I set-up a dark room at my school and produced a series of black and white images of local churches.  
It was this process that inspired my exploration of places and subjects, creating images and bringing them to fruition in print.
Over the years I made several trips to India and Peru, combining my love of photography with my love of travel and mountaineering.  I love the excitement of capturing a unique moment or seeing my artistic vision in print.  Moving to County Durham I worked as a Freelance Photographer alongside other contracted work.  Here I focused on my sporting events company, assisting local wedding photographers, and some local and national press work. 

I now work full-time as a freelance photographer, training provider and producer of digital art.
